I told my friend I needed a psychologist or psychiatrist or someone to just talk to, but I wasn’t taken seriously because they felt I had all the friends, support and counsel I needed around me. But that wasn’t the case. I had just had a traumatic childbirth, and I was losing my mind. I needed to speak to someone, but no one was there to help me. My healing took longer because of this, and I had difficult days healing from the experience.
